Jammu: Work in Civil Secretariat Jammu was affected after J&K Civil Secretariat employees staged a protest against the alleged delaying tactics adopted by the government in resolving their long pending genuine issues.
The protesting employees led by Union president Ghulam Rasool Dar said that the Government in the past had assured the employees that their pay anomaly will be addressed and removed by November 2015, but nothing has been done in this regard.
The protesting employees who abstain from their work said that they face multiple problems both in summer and winter capital. President J&K Civil Secretariat employees union, Ghulam Rasool Dar told CNS that with regard to Estates issues viz eviction of illegal occupant, restoration of Secretariat Employees Quota and allotment of residential accommodation in Jammu and Srinagar on the basis of seniority have not been taken care of yet. Grievence regarding unhygienic/dilapidated condition of hotel accommodation, providing of furnishing items, repair and renovation to the residential colonies of Darbar Move Employees at Jammu are still unattendented, he said.
Besides issues like enhancement in TMA, MA, TA, LTC are also pending in the Finance Department for which the Finance Minister has assured to resolve all such issues in the coming budget session and also informed that separate Budgetary provision shall be kept in the ensuing Budget to take care of such demands. The employees are eagerly waiting for the positive outcome in this behalf, Dar told CNS.
