SRINAGAR:A domestic help was found murdered in Nowgam Srinagar, a police statement said Thursday evening.
One Bashir Ahmad Hajni son of Abdul Rashid resident of Khanday Colony Nowgam reported in Police Station Nowgam that his home servant Muneer Ahmad Wanna son of Ali Mohammad resident of Khurhama Lolab Kupwara was found murdered in the second storey of his home at Khanday Colony Nowgam, the statement said.
Police have registered a case FIR number 143/2015 under section 302 RPC and send the body for autopsy and further investigation is going on, it added.
Meanwhile, the statement further said, an employee of PDD was electrocuted at Grid Station Gassipora Wanpoh, Islamabad and later on died in hospital.
A Power Development Department employee Mohammad Iqbal Bhat son of Abdul Gani Bhat resident of Gasipora got electrocuted at Grid Station Gassipora Wanpoh.
The injured was shifted to District Hospital Islamabad for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of all legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
The statement informed that one person died while nine others were injured in road accidents across valley.
In Budgam, one TATA Mobile bearing registration number JK03A-6331 hit a pedestrian Mohammad Yousuf Bhat resident of Chattergam at Doniwara Budgam, resulting in his on spot death.
After completion of all medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
In another incident, a Bus bearing registration number JK01D-4922 hit a tree near Dadian Budgam, resulting in injuries to 06 passengers.
All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
In Awatipora, a Tanker bearing registration number JK02F-1715 met with an accident near Ziyarat Awantipora, resulting in injuries to the conductor of the said vehicle Suneel Kumar son of Amar Singh resident of Chanani Udampur.
The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Awantipora for treatment.
In Sopore, a vehicle I-20 bearing registration number JK01A-6560 turned turtle at Chatloora Rafiabad Dangiwacha, resulting in injuries to the driver Rouf Majeed Mir son of Abdul Majeed Mir resident of Bagathpora Handwara and his brother Mohsin Majeed Mir boarding the car.
Both the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment. Sopore police has registered a case in this regard.
