Srinagar:– Bijbehara town in South Kashmir Friday observed shutdown for the fourth day though no group had called for strike following death of three local Hizbul Mujahideen militants.
Reports reaching here said that the town wore a deserted look as all the shops, business establishments, schools remained closed. There was minimal traffic movement as well.
A large number of people visited the houses of slain Hizb militants to offer fateha on their fourth day.
Witnesses said that youth of Bijbehara had asked local committees of Bijbehara Masjids not offer congregational Friday prayers today instead people were asked to attend same at Bijbeharas main Jamia Masjid.
