Srinagar: Hurriyat chairperson, Syed Ali Geelani, was Friday once again stopped from offering congregational prayers.
Strongly condemning his continuous house detention, Hurriyat Conference Committee for Human Rights chief Zamrooda Habib said that it is 32nd Friday in a row in the PDP-RSS rule when Geelani was barred from performing his important religious obligation.
Terming this cruel approach of the government as interference into the religious affairs of Geelani, Zamrooda said, it is an open violation of the international human rights charter according to which every person has a right to preach and practice his religion and belief.
