Srinagar: The Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH), Jammu Kashmir on Monday offered Gayibana Nimaz-e-Janaza (funeral prayers in absentia) for Jamat-e-Islami Bangladesh leaders Ahsan Amin Mohammad Mujahid and Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury who were executed by the government of that country.
The TeH leader Umar Adil Dar said the prayers, which were offered at Masjid Hamza, Amira Kadal, were led by Mudasir Nadwi.
Other leaders present on the occasion include Rameez Raja, Merajuddin Rabbani, Khalid Islam, Abdul Ahad Bhat, Syed Imtiyaz Hyder and others.
They also condemned the execution of leaders saying the Sheikh Hasina-led government in Bangladesh is hanging every pro-Islamist Opposition leader which is very brutal and shameful.
