6th IISP concludes
SRINAGAR: 6th Inspire Internship Science Programme (IISP) concluded at NIT today. This programme had commenced on November 14, 2015 and was organised under Inspire Scheme of department of Science and Technology, New Delhi.
Around 300 students of 11th and 12th classes from different schools of the valley participated in the said programme. During the programme, various scientists from the country and abroad had a healthy discussion with students and threw light on various aspects of scientific studies in order to help them develop interest in science.
Young scientists were also made aware about importance of research, so that they could pursue research in various scientific fields as a career option.
Quiz and debate programmes were also held during the programme. At the concluding ceremony, mementoes and merit certificates were distributed among the students.
Convener, Inspire NIT Srinagar, Dr. A.M. Shah and Dr. Javid Iqbal, Dr. Khuroo, Mir Faisal of Waterloo University, Canada, Prof. Khurshid Guroo of Russel Park Cancer Institute, USA and programme coordinator, Saika Sajad were among those present on the occasion.
