Srinagar: A day after the reports that incumbent government has decided to abandon the idea of having a Winter Secretariat functional during the harsh months winter in Srinagar, Member Parliament and senior PDP leader Tariq Hameed Kara advised government to think above politics and dont abandon the decades old practice.
Karra told CNS that it will be a nightmare for the people of Kashmir if Secretariat remains shut during the winters in Srinagar. People will face lot of inconvenience. I dont know who is behind the idea of abandoning the decades old practice but i suggest to the government to think above politics. Even during the PDP rule in 2002, Winter Secretariat in Srinagar was functional and we used to address the issues that people faced, he said.
