Drug peddler booked under PSA, sent to Jail

Srinagar: A notorious drug peddler was booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) in Baramulla district of north Kashmir on Monday.
Hashim Majeed Bhat of Mohalah Mir Sahib was arrested by police Baramulla during a raid last week and was booked under PSA today, a police official said.
He is involved in case FIR number 10/2015 of Police Station Baramulla under section 8/20 NDPS and accused in kidnapping case FIR number 21/2013 of Police Station Baramulla under section 363, 109 RPC. He is also involved in various stone pelting cases, the official said.
After booked the drug peddler under PSA, the authorities have shifted him to Udhampur jail today, he said, adding that the drive against the drug menace will to continue.
Pertinently, On Nov 11, police had arrested the drug peddler Fayaz Ahmad Dar alias Adha-Daz son of Abdul Satar Dar resident of Ganaie Hamam Baramulla and has been booked under PSA.
