Srinagar: Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the continuous detention of various resistance leaders and hundreds of innocent youth, languishing in various police stations and interrogation centers of the valley and many of which have been even denied chance of meeting their kith and kin.
Malik while strongly condemning the continuous detention of Hurriyat leaders including Shabir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Akbar Ayaz and Mehraj ud din Kalwal, ans himself said that hundreds of young boys and even children are facing the wrath of police and forces in police stations and detention centers from last many days.
Many of those arrested especially in downtown Srinagar are even denied the chance of meeting their families in police stations and their families are being tortured emotionally, he said.
He said that hundreds of other innocent youth languishing in various police stations and detention centers across the valley are also facing immense difficulties and by using various tactics, authorities are prolonging their detention. He said that these young innocent boys and children have been arrested from their residences and kept in police stations and interrogation centers and their families are also being subjected to humiliations and other kind of tortures.
