PAHALGAM: As part of its national integration tour programme students consisting 17 boys and 8 girl participants from the area of Lidder Valley Khiram bowl left for India tour on 13 of November.
The students are accompanied by ten elderly people and also army’s team comprising of one officer and three NCOs of 3 Rashtriya Rifles.
The tour was flagged off from Aismuqam by Brig Anmol Sood ,HQ 1 Sector RR. He said, the group will be visiting Jammu ,Mumbai and Pune with an aim to expose young minds to the rich and diverse culture and secular nature of our country and provide them with an opportunity to understand that peace and harmony will usher economical and technological progress of the nation.
The students expressed their gratitude to the army for providing this rare and exceptional opportunity to witness other parts of the country and they also pledged to work towards achieving peace, harmony and progress of the country, the official said.
