BARAMULLA: A day after a 12th class school girl was refused roll number slip by school authorities in Baramulla district over non-payment of fee, the Director School Education Kashmir on Saturday said that BOSE will conduct her examination for the missed paper.
As reported, Baramulla Public School refused roll number slip to the student as her fee was pending from past one year. Though her father went before school authorities with Rs 10,000 and assured to pay remaining amount before the results, the school management refused the roll number slip as result the student could not attend the examination for chemistry paper.
States Education Department reacted promptly to the news and announced that the examination of the girl would be conducted afresh for the missed paper.
“As per the Education Minister’s directions, JK BOSE has decided that the girl student from Baramula Public School, who missed her paper yesterday due to callousness of school authorities, will be allowed to take the missed paper later this week,” Chief Ministers political analysts Waheed Parra said.
Director Education Shah Faesal also confirmed that girls examination would be conducted for the missed paper. He said that that the decision was taken after a meeting with the Board of School Education.
Dr Faesal said they have also issued a show cause notice to the school management over their callousness action and strict action will be taken against the school accordingly.
Meanwhile, Trumboo Cement Industries Pvt Ltd in a statement said that they will sponsor the education of 12th class girl student who was denied permission to appear in the examination today.
To support the girls education and as a part of CSR TCI Cements (Trumboo Cement industries) has decided to pay all the pending fee of the girl student who could not arrange her fee for the 12th class examination, the statement said. (GNS)
