Srinagar: Police Friday said that a militant was killed in frontier district Kupwara when Indian army challenged a group of militants on Friday afternoon at Hajinaka area of the district.
The police official said that Army observed the movement of three militants and when challenged they opened up fire on the Army resulting in the encounter that resulted in the death of an unidentified militant.
The search operation is going on in the area, the official said. (CNS)
