Restrictions in parts of Srinagar
Srinagar: Authorities have decided to impose restrictions Wednesday in eight police station areas of the city including downtown to foil Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s call for HMT March.
Official sources said that in the wake of march, the authorities would impose restrictions in the areas falling under the jurisdiction of Safakadal, MR Gunj, Nowhata, Khanyar, Rainawari, Maisuma, Kralkhud and Parimpora police stations.
The sources said that police will not allow anyone to proceed towards the HMT and any attempt to take out rally would be foiled to maintain law and order.
Pertinently, Geelani called on people to reach the home of slain youth, Gowhar Nazir who was killed in CRPF action Saturday.
