How Pakistan had it’s ‘Mauka Mauka’

ISLAMABAD: The ‘Mauka Mauka’ commercial during the 2015 World Cup may have tormented many a Pakistani cricket fan but they may just have the last laugh.
Indians had their share of fun during the Pakistan-India matches at the World Cup this when the commercial was released, showing a ‘Pakistani’ man placing a box of firecrackers quietly back as in 1992, 1996, 1999, 2003 and 2011 after failing to defeat India.
But as it turns out, the ‘Mauka’ man may finally be able to burst firecrackers following India’s ruling party the Bharatiya Janata Party’s defeat in the Bihar Assembly polls.
Earlier, BJP President Amit Shah said at an election rally in Raxaul, “If the Bharatiya Janata Party is defeated in the Bihar Assembly polls and does not form a government, firecrackers will be burst in Pakistan.”
Firecrackers did seem to go off, on Twitter at least, as #Bihar began trending as soon as results on Sunday showed BJP losing to Nitish Kumar-Lalu Prasad Yadav’s coalition.
Rajdeep Sardesai tweeted: “Don’t see crackers in Pakistan, but outside the RJD and JD U office!!.
According to analyst Ayesha Siddiqa’s tweet, ”Liberals relieved, hawks unhappy 4 several reasons & many happy that anti-Pak rhetoric didn’t pay off”.
“I wish Imran Khan could also learn from his ideal Nitish Kumar, the tactic to defeat the government in the center,” tweeted Zeeshan Awan.
 “BJP conceded defeat in Bihar election. BJP is not crying like PTI of rigging election. Imran Khan and PTI should learn how to accept defeat,” Syeda Mateen
