BARAMULLA : In order to finalize cases of land acquisition under private negotiation and compulsory acquisition for various developmental projects, a Private Negotiations Committee (PNC) meeting was today held at Baramulla under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bashir Ahmad Khan, Assistant Commissioner Revenue and Tehsildars attended the meeting.
The meeting was convened for fixing the rates of land in various villages required for different projects as per Land Acquisition Act.
12 cases were taken up during the PNC, out of which 10 were settled and 2 were deferred. Cases related to the acquisition of land for construction of PMGSY roads at Jabla, Gouhalan, Dardkote and Ramgaie were taken up. Similarly, land acquired for construction of towers for Railway transmission line from Delina Grid station was also taken up. Private negotiation was done keeping in view all the necessary rules and guidelines as per the Land acquisition Act.
Compensation for fruit growing trees in the acquired land were also considered, for which an assessment report to be prepared by the team of Horticulture department was sought.
