SRINAGAR: Hurriyat (G) leaders Shabir Ahmad Shah and Nayeem Khan Wednesday vowed to go ahead with the proposed Million March to coincide with the PDP-BJP rally for Prime Minister Narendra Modis scheduled for November 7 in the city.
Shah said the government has waged a war against the common people of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Observer, Shah said despite the arrests and restrictions, the Million March program will be organised at any cost.
Terming the crackdown on separatist leadership as blot on the face of state administration, Khan said, on one hand, the state administration continues to shower praises on Narendra Modi despite his anti-Muslim attitude and on the other, have turned the whole valley into a virtual jail. This way the government stands exposed.
Khan criticized police for arresting the students thereby ruining their career.
Reiterating his appeal for massive participation in Million March, Khan said the people will continue their struggle for right to self-determination. I appeal to people of all walks of life to follow the Hurriyat conference programme in letter and spirit, so that world knows that we dont recognize Indian sovereignty in Jammu Kashmir and challenge its military occupation, he said.
