ANANTNAG: The District Development Commissioner Anantnag today chaired a review meeting here at DC office Anantnag regarding functioning of Municipal Councils in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Anantnag, Executive officers of all the Municipal Councils and other district officers. The District Development Commissioner was informed by the concerned Executive officers of all the 9 Municipal zones of the district about the implementation and progress of various works undertaken by them in their respective areas, including sanitation and cleanliness, solid waste disposal, identification of proper site for solid waste disposal and slaughter houses, and recovery of rent from the municipal buildings and shops.
The District Development Commissioner stressed on the officers of the municipalities to make sanitation and cleanliness a regular and sustainable exercise in each nook and corner of the district and personally monitor the works relating to sanitation in their respective municipal zones.
