JAMMU In view of Darbar move from Srinagar to Jammu, only one-way traffic will operate on NHW-1A on October 31, November 1, 7 and 8, 2015. The convoys of Army and paramilitary forces will not be allowed to operate on the highway on the above mentioned days.
As per the handout issued by Inspector General of Police, Traffic, Srinagar, the decision has been taken to facilitate the shifting of official records and staff to Jammu from Srinagar as Darbar closes in Srinagar on October 30, 2015. The Darbar move offices will open in Jammu on November 9, 2015.
The Darbar move is a bi-annual process in which the Secretariat and other Government offices shift from Srinagar to Jammu on the onset of winter and the process is repeated every six months.
