SRINAGAR: In order to establish the housing colony in Srinagar city, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon convened a meeting today. Managing Director Jammu and Kashmir Housing Board and Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal also attended the meeting.
It was informed in the meeting that to develop a satellite town at Shuhama Ganderbal, state land measuring 250 kanals is available there.
Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal who attended the meeting through video conference was directed to submit the necessary revenue papers/extract of the said land so that Housing Board will develop the satellite township.
J&K Housing Board agreed to develop satellite colony within two years.
The plots will be provided to economically weaker sections (EWS), lower income groups (LIG), Middle Income Groups (MIG) and Higher Income Groups (HIG).
It was also decided that J&K Housing Board will keep a provision of 10% of total plots for displaced/ dislocated families affected due to road widening etc in Srinagar city.
Meanwhile, the Divisional Commissioner convened another meeting of JAKLI Regimental Centre Rangreth. The issues related to acquisition of land. Deputy Commissioner Budgam was directed to complete the formal proceedings in this regard.
Brigadier Chawan, Defence Estates Officer and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
