SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 27: A week long programme on “Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week- 2015” commenced from today.
All the departmental employees, officers from Cooperative Banks and representatives of Cooperative Institution participated. This year theme is, “Preventative Vigilance as Tool of Good Governance”. It was emphasised that one of the primary objectives of celebration of the vigilance week is to create awareness among the public against corruption and observance of vigilance awareness week to achieve the objective.
During the course of deliberations it was stressed on the efficacy of preventive vigilance in curbing corruption. The participants resolved to curb the menace of corruption which also involves undue influences, favouritism, nepotism and not loyalty to one’s duties. All the speakers laid emphasis on self actualization, self determination viz-a-viz self realization. The Chief Guest stressed that every office of the department should have sign boards wherein the services provided by the department should be mentioned for awareness/ publicity so that the public does not face any difficulty/inconvenience and save their precious time.
