Pahalgam: Residents of Pahalgam Tuesday alleged that the civil hospital, Pahalgam lacked basic facilities threatening to launch an agitation if facilities were not improved.
The hospital does not have proper equipment to perform operations, said Dr. Farooq Ahmad, a physician at the hospital. Theres no functional gynaecological and Ortho department and an Emergency unit. It also lacks a Critical Care Unit, ambulance facility, a staff residential quarter.
The electric supply to the hospital, he said, remains shut for most of the times.
Due to lack of support staff and equipment, the doctors are not in a position to treat patients and are referring them to other hospitals.
