RAJOURI-Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat today visited Shahdara Sharief Ziarat and reviewed the arrangements for smooth celebration of the Annual Urs of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah (RA) at Shahdara Sharief, Rajouri. He also inspected the ongoing construction works at the Ziarat .
During the visit, the DC directed officers of different departments to ensure adequate supply of essentials, water, power etc at the venue for the convenience of the devotees.
He also called for repair and replacement of the non -functional street lights in the area besides proper cleanliness of the shrine.
Various other arrangements including traffic management, ration supply, parking facility etc were also discussed and necessary instructions were passed on to the concerned to ensure smooth conduct of Urs celebration.
Later on, he took stock of the status of works of construction of additional langer block at ziarat and directed the concerned to complete the same within a definite time frame.
He also issued instructions for renovating and upgrading the existing TRC at Shahdara Sharief besides directing the officials of Rajouri Development Authority to incorporate all the required modern facilities for facilitating the visiting pilgrims.
The DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Ch.Mumtaz Ali during his visit.
