SRINAGAR: A voluntary group Ehsaas centre for development of social ethics, culture and human values an initiative by local youth Friday in a unique way paid tributes to martyrs of Karbala.
Fresh fruits packed hygienically in boxes were distributed among patients who are admitted in SKIMS Soura for treatment, a statement by the Ehsaas group said. Packets were distributed among the in patients of SKIMS Soura and also in the gynaecology clinic of hospital under the guidance and supervision of Chief Dietician of the hospital with due permission of the Medical Superintendent.
The Ehsaas volunteers distributed fruit packets among the patients along with the hospital catering staff so as to avoid any unnecessary trespassing and disturbance in the hospital.
Patients and their attendants who received fruit packets appreciated the initiative, the statement said.
We at Ehsaas strongly believe in work aimed at creating unity and brotherhood among Muslim Ummah. One such message was practically send across today on 9th of Muharram, 23rd of October 2015, through this initiative of distribution of fresh fruits wherein volunteers worked together shoulder to shoulder to pay tributes to martyrs of Karbala, the youth said in their statement .
The Ehsaas group asserted that it will have more such events and programs that will be aimed at brotherhood among different factions of Muslim Ummah.
