SRINAGAR: In continuing with its multiple sanitation drive in different parts of the city, Srinagar Municipal Corporation Tuesday conducted an extensive sanitation drive at Leper Colony Bahraar The drive was personally monitored by Commissioner SMC Showkat Ahmed Zargar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Nazir Ahmed Baba, Joint Commissioner SMC Syed Qasim, Chief Sanitation Officer Syed Nisar, Sanitation Officer Sofi Akbar and other officials. Huge quantity of garbage was lifted and the entire colony was properly fumigated with disinfectants,, and other cleansing agents.
This drive shall continue till proper cleanliness of the area is achieved Sanitation Officer Central Zone Sofi Akbar said.
Meanwhile Mir Bahri comprising of 28 Mohhallas in ward Dal was also inspected by the authorities to review sanitation and other Moharram related arrangements.
Commissioner SMC on the occasion interacted with the locals of the area and assured prompt redressal of their grievances.
