Poonch: The telecommunication consumers are facing severe difficulties as state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) continues to remain defunct Poonch district.
From nearly a week, the BSNL services that include landline and mobile phone services and internet is not functioning in Mendhar, Surankote and other parts of Poonch district.
Last week, windstorm and thunderstorm hit the district, leading to complete snap down. Besides landline and mobile services, the internet services are also not working. The consumers told GNS that the student and business community are facing lot of difficulties in absence of mobile and internet services. (GNS)
The BSNL officials are not taking any steps to restore the services, locals alleged. A top official in the district told GNS that the people should protest against the BSNL and lodge complaint against them. (GNS)
