JAMMU: Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Mohammad Ashraf Mir informed the House that 36 shop-sites which were illegally allotted in 2002-03 by the then VC, Jammu Development Authority (JDA) in Yard No: 6 at Transport Nagar, Jammu have been cancelled in pursuance to the decision of the JDA Board of Directors in its 74th meeting held on 11 June 2015.
This was stated by the Minister while replying to a question by Surinder Kumar Choudhary in the Legislative Council today. The Minister said no shops have been allotted during last 6 years in the said yard.
He said the allotment of shop-sites and commercial sites in the Transport Yard is being made by JDA through auction as per the procedure.
The Minister said that action is being taken under due procedure of law for eviction of illegal possessions.
