BUDGAM: A cricket tournament organised by Sheikh-ul-Alam Sports Association concluded today at Sheikhpora Stadium Budgam. A total of 80 teams participated in the tournament. The final match was played between JK Police Pulwama and Master 11 Ompora, which was won by the Master 11 team.
The Deputy Commissioner Budgam who is also the chairman of the district sports council was the guest of honour on the occasion. SSP Budgam and other respected personalities were present on the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the youth for taking part in sports and impressed upon them to take part in other sports activities also other than cricket. He said that efforts are on to construct an indoor stadium in the district.
Later, he distributed cash and medals among the players.
