SRINAGAR: The Minister for Horticulture, Hajj and Auqaf, Abdul Rehman Veeri today informed the House said that between March 2015 and 23 September 2015, three civilians lost their lives and 41 were injured in various incidents of clashes/protests in the State. He said 484 police personnel and 43 security forces personnel were also injured during this period.
Giving details of detentions made under J&K Public Safety Act (PSA) and Prevention of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs Psychotropic Substances Act, 1988, the Minister said the detentions made under PSA include 2 militants, 3 separatists, 3 stone pelters, 7 OGWs and 5 habitual criminals, while as 9 drug peddlers have been detained under Prevention of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs Psychotropic Substances Act, 1988.
