SRINAGAR: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Choudhary Lal Singh today said the Health and Medical Education Department has vide Govt order No. 357-HME of 2007 dated 24-05-20007 framed guidelines for admission to various Paramedical Training Courses in District Ancillary Medical Training Schools of Jammu and Kashmir.
Replying to a short notice question by Naresh Kumar Gupta in the Legislative Council, Lal Singh said as per the guidelines a candidate should be a permanent resident of J&K State having passed 10+2 exam from any recognized University or Board with Science subjects for Paramedical Training Course and Matric with Science for FMPHW. The candidates age should not be less than 17 years and more than 35 years as on first day of January of the year in which the advertisement for admission for training course is issued.
The Minister said that reservation of 20% of total seats sanctioned for various courses in District ANMT schools for nomination by the Competent Authority from amongst the eligible candidates possessing 10+2 from any recognized University or Board with Science Subject for paramedical Training Course and Matric with science subject for FMPHWs of socially economically/educationally backward sections and individual hard-hit cases.
He said out of the total 190 sanctioned seats of different categories of paramedics, 38 candidates were nominated by the Health Minister under 20% nomination quota for training in Doda district.
