SRINAGAR: The 6th Extra-ordinary Adjourned Annual General (EAAG) meeting of Women Development Corporation (WDC) held here today under the Chairmanship of Minister for Social Welfare, Bali Bhagat and adopted the statements of accounts of the Corporation for the period 2005 to 2010-11.
The Minister directed the Managing Director WDC to switch over to digitization/computerization of Corporations record in a time bound manner to ensure transparency and accountability in the functioning.
He stressed for availing the full benefits of flagship schemes launched for the upliftment of poor sections of the society with special focus on improving the socio-economic conditions of the minorities.
