ANANTNAG: Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Thursday instructed the concerned officers for ensuring in time redressal of public grievances with regard to their day to day matters. He also reiterated the commitment of administration that every possible step is being taken to rehabilitate the flood effected people of 2014, besides making sure the availability of adequate ration throughout the district.
Deputy Commissioner was chairing the Awami Darbars at Shangus, Chitturgul and Denthu.
The Public Darbars were attended by ADC Anantnag, Chief Education Officer, XENs of R&B, PDD, PMGSY, PHE, I&FC and officers of various departments besides concerned Tehsildars, BDOs and officers of CAPD department. The darbars was also attended by Sarpanchs, Panchs, and members of civil society, media fraternity and representatives of Auqaaf Committees of the area.
While replying to the grievances of the people regarding issues pertaining to various departments, Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to redress the pending issues in a time bound manner so that people of the area do not suffer during the coming winter.
The Deputy Commissioner directed Executive Engineer PHE to speedup construction work of all the sanctioned water supply schemes of the area for which funds have already been released.
Meanwhile, a Lok Adalat will be conducted on Oct. 29 in the District court complex at ADR centre Anantnag.
