SRINAGAR: Agitated over the alleged non-completion of the syllabus while the examination notification was issued by the Kashmir University, the 2nd. year students Thursday staged a protest in the Press Enclave Srinagar demanding the postponement of the proposed examination.
The students, mostly girls, were furious over the circulation of date sheet saying that University of Kashmir has decided to take their examinations from November 20 next month despite the fact that 50 per cent of the syllabus is still incomplete.
The authorities have issued the notification for the examination and also the date sheet has been finalized and circulated but the syllabus is not yet finished, the protesting students told CNS.
How can the authorities issue the date sheet when the syllabus is still incomplete. It is not possible for the students to appear in the examination under such circumstances. The University must give some relaxation, the students said and appealed University authorities to reconsider their decision.
