SRINAGAR: Congress legislator Usman Majeed Monday alleged that he was attacked with some weapon while being marshaled out from the Legislative Assembly. Majeed received injuries in his neck.
There was pandemonium in the House on Monday after the Speaker disallowed discussion on anti-beef ban citing Rule 58, sub rule 7.
As the Opposition members stormed the Well and threw away papers, Marshalls dragged Abdul Majeed Larmi, Ishfaq Jabbar, Usman Majeed out of the House. During the scuffle, one of the Marshalls received injuries while Usman Majeed later on alleged that somebody during the chaos attacked him with a mysterious weapon.
Talking to reporters outside the Assembly, Usman Majeed with injured neck said that he felt as he was attacked by someone with a weapon. The matter should be investigated. Somebody during the scuffle hit and attacked me as a result I sustained injuries in my neck, he said.
