SRINAGAR – Ashok Kumar’s film ‘Kanoon’ had created a lot of sensation in India and it led to stoppage of hanging the guilty. After a while, the government began the capital punishment again. Maqbool Bhat, Ajmal Kasab, Afzal Guru, Yakub Memon etc were hanged. Now one Kashmiri is going to be hanged in the movie, ‘Chinar Daastaan-E-Ishq’. Made under the banner of ‘Shagun Films Private Ltd’, the producer is Rajesh R Jain and the director is Sharique Minhaj.
The movie is scheduled to be released on 16th October 2015. Amir Khan’s brother Faissal Khan is making a comeback in the movie.
Producer Rajesh Jain and Director Sharique Minhaj say, “The movie shows hanging of a Kashmiri. For some years the hangings were stopped but it has made a comeback. It shows that we have left the values given by Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. We are moving towards dictatorship like the British, which hanged Shahid Bhagat Singh, Rajguru etc.”
