SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon today convened a meeting of officers to review the arrangements being put in place in connection with Raid De Himalaya Motor Race.
The said race is being conducted jointly by Department of Youth Services and Sports and Himalayan Motor Sport Association from October 09 to October 17, 2015.
The meeting was told that the flag raising ceremony will be held on October 17, 2015 at Royal Spring Golf Course, Srinagar and the valedictory as well as prize distribution function will be held on the same day at SKICC Srinagar.
Samoon stressed upon the concerned departments to put in place all the required arrangements for the smooth conduct of the race. The Deputy Commissioners of Kargil, Anantnag and Ganderbal were directed to keep the rescue teams available for any emergency.
Health related facilities would be made available at different spots enroute the race besides Army authorities have also been asked to streamline the convoy in Drass as per the convenience of the motorists.
