An Indian has been killed and three others were injured in fresh mortar attacks in Saudi Arabia’s Jizan region by Yemeni fighters, the second Indian to die in three days due to heavy shelling.
The incident occurred on Sunday at Samta town in the region when fighters bombarded an area.
Vishnu, who hailed from Kerala and worked with a cell phone shop in Samta, killed in the incident, it said.
Munir Ahmed, Saghir Ahmed and Waleed Ahmed, who belong to Kashmir, have sustained injuries in the shelling and were recuperating at the hospital.
Besides the three Indians, two Egyptians and a Yemeni were also injured.
An official termed yesterday’s shelling as the worst in two days.
