Srinagar: The indefinite hunger strike of NYC youth enters into 21st day on Monday. The protesting youth has said that the Association had decided not to call off their strike until a favorable decision will not come in their favour.
NYC state association had earlier given the ultimatum till September 1 and had asked the government to to implement cabinet decision without any delay. However, the Association continued to observe strike after government did not budge.
The Association said that they will continue their strike till the party president Mehbooba Mufti would not visit them and come up with any concrete decision. We will celebrate Eid-ul-Azha in Pratap Park if the government did not meet their demand, they said.
Meanwhile, some PDP legislator from Wachi, Ajaz Ahmad Mir visited the venue and expressed solidarity with the protesting volunteers.
