POONCH: A teenage girl in Poonch district today accused a school teacher of sexually harassing her after which a panel to probe the allegation was constituted.
Sources said that a 9th class female student of Government Higher Secondary School, Sheesh Mahal complained to school principal Miss Anjum that a teacher namely Daljeet Singh is sexually harassing her from last few days.
Sources said that acting on the complaint, the school principal wrote to Chief Education Officer (CEO) Poonch Lal Hussain. To probe the matter, sources said, the CEO constituted a probe panel consisting of two principals.
CEO said that he received a report from school principal regarding the allegations of sexual harassment. I have constituted a team consisting of two school principals, he said.
However, sources revealed that no case has been registered formally in this regard. GNS
