Media particularly the print media is more powerful than a chief minister. It has its own domain that a common man cannot overrule. However, it has the obligation to highlight the plight of people without taking sides.
For a common man, it is exceedingly difficult that his complaint would be looked at considerately.
As an example, a class-IV waiting list in the Education Department is being tossed up by the authorities for the past nine months for unknown reasons. What prevents them to process the list despite instructions from their higher ups is something baffling.
To ensure a speedy disposal of works, the performance of an employee should be reflected in his APR before being promoted to the next level.
Despite repeated requests to highlight the plight of a common man, the media looks like has buried its head in the sand like the proverbial ostrich.
