SOPORE: Four teenagers from Sopore town were arrested Tuesday in the frontier district of Kupwara when they were heading towards the Line of Control (LoC) allegedly for crossing over to Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK).
A senior police officer informed that they received a tip off about some youth trying to cross the fence for arms training there.
He said police and armys 6 RR successfully traced the boys and arrested them before they could ex-filtrate in Hafrooda forest area of Handwara.
The official identified the Adil Nabi Rather (17), Tahir Ahmad Ganie (18), Ishfaq Ahmad Malik (18) and Aijaz Lone Krankshun Sopore. They had fled from their homes on August 28 and are presently being questioned by SOG Sopore, the official added.
The incident comes days after Hizb commander Burhan Ahmad Wani uploaded a video on social networking sites, calling people to join militant ranks. (GNS)
