BANDIPORA: According to District Magistrate Bandipora, the details of Arms Licenses are being uploaded through the software prepared by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) in the National Data Base of Arms Licenses. In case the details are not uploaded as per the procedure, these licenses shall be considered invalid with effect from October 01, 2015.
In this connection, all such Arms License holders of the district are directed to immediately report in the office of Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora to get details. After the expiry of the scheduled date, all those licenses (the details of which are not uploaded) shall stand cancelled. Besides, the weapon shall have to be deposited with concerned Police Station as possession of the same would become illegal thereafter.
