Srinagar: Canon, a leader in digital imaging in India Thursday launched the first Canon Image Square (CIS) in the city of Srinagar. The store was inaugurated by Mr. Andrew Koh, Vice President of Consumer Imaging and Information Center, Canon India. Located at Regal Chowk, the store offers a complete range of photography and home printing solutions.
Enlightening customers through an interactive and informative buying experience, the first CIS store in Srinagar offers complete range of DSLR cameras, lenses, attractive new products in PowerShot (Zoom series compact cameras and Professional compact cameras) and IXUS (entry level pocket size camera) series and Professional Video cameras. Housing photography accessories such as tripods, camera bags, memory card, chargers and more, the store is a photographers one stop shop for all photography solutions.
While Indias photography industry is reconfiguring itself by manifesting in the form of growing interest in higher functionality, Canons retail expansion across the country helps to engage customers with varied range of newly launched products like the EOS and Professional Video cameras. The staff at the store is professionally trained to assist customers in choosing products according to their specific requirements. Other highlights include the comfortable Finance Facility with EMI through various credit cards and Paper finance through Bajaj Finance. The CIS stores also provide regular free training workshops for DSLR camera buyers.

The company plans to open over 200 CIS stores by the end of 2015. Through these new stores, Canon wants to engage with existing as well as new customers for better services. With this launch the total number of CIS will be 160 spanning over 75 cities in India.
To further consolidate its position in the imaging industry, Canon has recently launched range of new variants in the EOS, PowerShot, IXUS and Professional Video cameras and more exciting launches are on the anvil for 2015.
