KATHUA- Taking proactive and prompt action of the reports of landslide in Morha Kalana of Panchayat Dhannu-Parole in tehsil Billawar, District Development Commissioner Kathua Ramesh Kumar dispatched a team headed by SDM Billawar alongwith other field functionaries to shift the families from the hamlet without any delay to ensure no loss of human life.
The team also comprising Tehsildar Billawar Vishwajeet Singh reached the spot and shifted all 19 families out of which 7 families who are in high risk zone of landsliding were shifted to safer places.
As soon as the reports of landslide activity in the area came to the notice of the administration, the district and Sub-Division administration acted swiftly and mobilized the men and machinery timely and people were shifted to safer places.
