DOODPATHRI:- National Travel Trade Bodies (NTTB) of the country comprising of 10 teams including Gujrat, Kolkata and New Delhi today conducted FAM tour of lesser known destination Doodpathri and suggested various measures to be taken by the State government for making this tourist destination among best tourist destination of the State. They also said that Doodpathri is a place for outing and should be explored fully.
This tour program was organized by the J&K Tourism Department in collaboration with local tour and travel operators along with Hotel Federation of Kashmir, House Boat owners Association, TAK Travel Association of Kashmir, and Travel Society of Kashmir.
It was the first FAM tour of the destination conducted by the government.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri who is also CEO of Doodpathri development Authority briefed the operators about the plans and programmes of State government for promotion and development of lesser known tourist destinations.
Deputy Director Tourism department, Peerzada Zahoor Ahmad also interacted with these operators and briefed them about the initiatives taken by the government for promotion and development of lesser known tourist destinations.
