SINAGAR: The Islamia College Inter-Group Football Tournament kick-started here today at the college football ground with the inaugural game between ICS Oranges and ICS Greens. The game which turned out to be a closely fought contest was won by ICS Greens by 3 goals to 2 goals after the tie-breaker.
Encouraging the participant teams, the convener sports committee felicitated the winning team.
In the next clash between ICS Reds and ICS Yellows, the former defeated ICS Yellows by 2 goals to none.
ICS Blues will play against ICS Greens and in the 2nd game of semi-final and ICS Reds will play against ICS Whites today.
The tournament is being organized by the Department of Physical Education, Islamia College of Science and Commerce Srinagar.
The inter-group tournaments of Volleyball will start from August 22, 2015 and that of Cricket from August, 26 2015.
The Badminton & Table Tennis have already concluded in the first and second week of August 2015.
