SRINAGAR: Senior resistance leader, Masarat Aalam was not produced before court on Tuesday. Masarat is lodged in Kotbalwal jail after he was booked for waiving Pakistani flag in Srinagar when Syed Ali Geelani returned from New Delhi after staying there in winter months.
According to Muslim League spokesperson, Rafiq Ganaie, Masarat was scheduled to present himself before Chief Judicial Magistrate in lower court today but authorities did not bring him here. On Monday, Masarat, in another case, had to present himself before Forest Magistrate but authorities did not bring him.
Rafiq added, CJM and Forest Magistrate asked police to present him on October 3 and September 15, respectively. If Masarat was not brought here, the judges asked SSP concerned to attend that hearing in person.
