SRINAGAR: On the auspicious occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr, Lt Gen Subrata Saha, Chinar Corps Commander, conveyed his greetings to the people of Kashmir, members of the defence establishment and their families.
The auspicious day of Eid-Ul-Fitr is a day of gaiety and celebration and follows the Holy Month of Ramazan, he said.
The GOC Chinar Corps, while expressing his deep regard for the concept of fasting during the holy month of Ramazan, said that this provides us a unique opportunity to get ourselves closer to God by spending time in prayer and piety and also to build on our inner strength which in turn helps us to overcome the trials and tribulations of this life.
He said that Eid-Ul-Fitr which follows, is for celebration of our successful conduct during Ramadan and a day to rededicate ourselves towards our efforts for peace, prosperity and brotherhood.
On this day, he hoped that, both the Awaam and soldiers in Kashmir alike, receive the divine blessings of Almighty Allah which will grant them the strength to sustain peace in the Valley and foster an environment of growth and success for the present and for posterity.
In his message, the GOC Chinar Corps reiterated the commitment of the entire Chinar Corps to work with zeal and dedication, hand in hand with the Awaam, for peace and progress in Kashmir
