New Delhi: The All India Muslim Majlis-e Mushawarat, the umbrella body of Indian Muslim organisations and eminent personalities, welcomed the long-awaited nuclear deal of Iran with a number of major powers headed by the US.
President of AIMMM, Dr Zaffrul Islam Khan said it is a triumph of justice and common sense since what has happened after years of injustice and ruthless sanctions was Irans right since it is already a signatory of the NPT and has already allowed 800 cameras of the IAEA to inspect its sites round-the-clock, and has time and again on highest levels reiterated that it has no intention to make nuclear weapons.
This whole problem was started by Israel which is a proven nuclear power and is the only nuclar country in the Middle East which keeps a stockpile of no less than 1000 nuclear bombs and had already threatened Egypt way back in 1973 to hit it with a nuclear bomb. Israel is the only Middle Eastern country which should be sanctioned and forcibly disarmed, especially that it has continuously rejected to sign the NPT and has thwarted UN plans to make the Middle East free of WMDs.
