Srinagar: National Conference on Monday lashed out at Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for using public money in his amusing efforts to flatter the BJP and said the CMs Iftar Party in New Delhi was a brazen effort in the exercise of flattery that had fallen flat on its face as BJP boycotted this party that was planned in their honor. NC Chief Spokesperson Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi said the Chief Minister was burdening the State exchequer and the conscience of the people of J&K by bending over backwards to please his political ally.
Its tragic that Mufti Sahab went all the way to Delhi to throw an Iftar Party for the BJP. More tragic is the fact that BJP completely boycotted this Iftar party, including BJP leaders and Ministers from J&K who were present in Delhi. Mufti Sahab has yet again lowered the stature of the Chief Ministers office and has gone above and beyond the call of his duty to the BJP, NC Chief Spokesperson Aga Syed Ruhullah said in a statement issued from NC Headquarters in Srinagar.
