ANANTNAG, JULY 03: Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Mr. Bashir Ahmad Khan today launched Digital India week at Dak Bungalow Khanabal. All the District Officers, Civil Society members, Media persons and PRI representatives were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of e-governance explaining that the initiative will bring transparency and accountability in the system. He insisted on the officers to encourage the disposal of public services through e-governance mode with emphasis on enrollment in digital locker, where important documents could be stored in digital format.
Deputy Commissioner briefed the participants about the various e-governance schemes under Digital India Initiative of Government of India which includes Digital locker system in as an online platform to engage citizens in governance.
District Informatics Officer Anantnag Mr. Jan Mubarak also spoke on the occasion.
